Maintaining Your Motivation

Staying motivated to exercise and eat right seems to be a challenge that many people face. Here are some suggestions to help you find some motivation and keep up with your successful plan:

1. Reset your goals. Goal setting is a highly motivating practice. If you’ve already reached a goal and are feeling lost and aimless, set another one! Use the goals you’ve already accomplished to help guide you in the process of making new, even more challenging goals. Remember to make all goals realistic and attainable so that you are able to reach them and stay motivated and upbeat rather than discouraged and defeated

2. Revisit and rework the mantras that you may have come up with earlier this month, to suit your new goals … or if you haven’t been using a mantra, try it out! You might be surprised at how well they work.

3. Find a league of your own. Many recreational or community centers have a schedule of adult sports lessons and leagues, offering classes in activities such as golf, tennis, volleyball, softball, flag football, and cycling. Most offer beginning classes as well as advanced ones, so it doesn’t matter if you’ve never played before.

4. Peruse this website for new tips and strategies. You’ll find tons great health and fitness articles, as well as other members’ profiles that are just waiting to educate and inspire you! This site is loaded with success stories – people just like you – that offer great workout ideas, new recipes, personal stories, and even motivational tips! Search for other members like you and participate in the forums for lots of great information, inspiration, and support from others who are going through the same process as you.

5. Another way to stay inspired is to inspire others! As you go through the Fast Track program, you’ve no doubt learned a ton of new tips, tricks, secrets and strategies that have really helped you. And hopefully you’ve taken these new ideas and experimented with them to adapt them specifically for you. As you go through this process, share what you’ve learned with others on this site. You’ll develop some great friendships and likely learn from others as well.

We created the Fast Track to Fat Loss website to show you how to achieve the best possible results in the shortest amount of time – all the while showing you how to make this a realistic, long-term lifestyle change that you enjoy and look forward to each day.

I encourage you to keep up this learning process and share your new lifestyle with others – both members of this site, and friends and family you come in contact with each day. When you’re achieving great results, and inspiring others to do the same, you’ll discover a whole new level of motivation that propels you to the next level. Take advantage of this and keep up the excellent work!
